This luxury beach Villa 1 in Talpe boasts a wonderful blue swimming pool to splash around in. The pool is lined with an arrangement of sun beds, with guests enjoying direct access to the beach. It sleeps up to 5 guests in 2 bedrooms: this idyllic beachside retreat is a stylish modern house comfortably furnished with a tasteful blend of antiques and locally crafted furniture. The living space on the ground floor opens onto a wide verandah and a dining pavilion, where meals will be served. The lush gardens outside stretch down to the sandy beach, where comfortable benches encourage all-day relaxation with views out to the horizon.

The villa has a master bedroom suite on the upper floor with a terrace looking out to the garden and the beach beyond. For families with young children, we have a small sleeping nook (with a double mattress and A/C) or additional beds in the main bedroom for the little ones.

There is a second guest suite on the ground floor overlooking the pool terrace. There is also a separate shower and cloakroom on the ground floor.

Ensuite bathrooms: All rooms have an ensuite bathroom with hot and cold rain showers.

Villa Staff: The experienced and knowledgeable manager will oversee the property and assist you during your stay.

The villa’s skilled private chef will happily prepare a range of delicious meals from a suggested menu, as well as discuss special requests and dietary requirements (you pay only for ingredients & transport for shopping).

Your rooms will be made up daily by our stewards, who will also make sure your needs are attended to so that you can relax and enjoy the perfect getaway.

Security: There will be a night watchman who clocks in at sundown so your mind is at ease on holiday.

THE BEACH

Direct beach access: the ocean in front of the villa is often too rough for swimming, but a short walk along the beach would lead you to a safer reef-protected lagoon. You can also grab a tuk-tuk to the main Unawatuna Beach, which is about 10 minutes away from the Villa.

CLOSEST BEACH: This property is beachfront (Talpe Beach).
CLOSEST SURFING BEACH: The closest surfing beach is in Unawatuna beach, approximately a 5-10 tuk-tuk ride.
CLOSEST SEASONALLY SAFE SWIMMABLE BEACH: Dalawella beach (Wijaya) (10 minutes walk).

LOCATION

The beach villa in Talpe, Galle is located directly on the beach in Unawatuna on the southern coast of Sri Lanka. The villa has direct access to the beach, making this one of the closest beach villas to the UNESCO-protected Galle Fort (about 20 minutes by car). The main Unawatuna Beach stretch, with lively restaurants and bars, is about 10 minutes away by tuk-tuk.

Security deposit: Upon arrival at the villa you may be required to pay a security deposit. The security deposit, if applicable, will be returned to you prior to departure or as agreed less any extra charges or costs for accidental damage to the property.

Check-in/out

• Usual Check-in after 2.00 pm and Check out – Before 11.00 am
• Late check-outs up to 6.00 pm may incur a half-day charge, after 6.00 pm a full day may be charged.
• Every effort will be made to accommodate other check-in/out times but this will depend on availability.
