This restoration effort didn’t merely entail preservation; it was an ode to the villa’s rich history intertwined with the personal touch of its current custodians. Honouring tradition while infusing the space with their distinctive design sensibilities, the owners have curated an eclectic aesthetic that seamlessly blends old-world charm with contemporary elegance.
Nestled amidst the serene embrace of two acres of meticulously landscaped gardens, Villa 111 offers a verdant sanctuary where nature’s splendor unfolds at every turn. As the machetes bravely cleared the dense jungle that once shrouded the property, they unveiled a treasure trove of carefully cultivated wonders. Rows of majestic coconut palms stood proudly alongside orchards teeming with cashew nut, ebony wood, mangosteen, and mango trees, each a testament to the land’s rich bounty.

This elegant residence offers a plethora of accommodation options, including two verandah suites granting exclusive access to the main gardens, two luxurious suites featuring private walled gardens, and two double suites that extend onto lounge areas on the front terrace.

The expansive, open-plan kitchen is outfitted to the highest standards found in top-tier restaurants, featuring a spacious day table perfect for leisurely morning coffees, teas, and casual dining. Guests have the unique opportunity to delve into the art of Sri Lankan cuisine alongside Lasitha, our esteemed in-house chef.
Adjacent to the villa’s internal courtyard, the Dining Pavilion boasts a magnificent stone dining table, capable of accommodating up to twenty guests in an enchanting alfresco setting.
Guests can discuss their menu preferences directly with the chef/cook and pay for the ingredients (Groceries at cost) and transport for shopping. Read more about the Villa meals policy in Sri Lanka. The villa’s experienced private chef/cook will be pleased to prepare anything from the Western, Asian, vegetarian, and children’s menus, as well as discuss special requests and dietary requirements. The chef is on duty between 7 am – 10 pm.

The Property is a beautifully restored tea plantation and is absolute perfection – luxury, service, history, well located, a sanctuary.
