A Private family villa with a pool with a close to one of the best surf spots in Southern Sri Lanka. The Villa can Accommodate 6 adults + 2 kids in 4 bedrooms (3 doubles & 1 twin). A lovely no frills family beach house set in approximately 2 acres of garden with four en-suite bedrooms. The property enjoys a south-facing elevated position leading onto a small horseshoe bay with seasonal swimming and boogie boarding. The beach is accessed via the private gate and a short 15-meter stroll.
What to expect at this Family-friendly Surf holiday rental in Hiriketiya?
Villa #21 is constructed in 2008 the house is modern and minimalist in style, keeping in mind certain characteristics of vernacular architecture. It is set on elevated gardens among coconut palms and has direct access to the beach below. The built-up area is almost 7,000 sq feet – out of which 1,500 sq feet is open verandas – and the villa consists of two buildings.
A single story house of linear design consisting of an ensuite double bedroom, a sitting room/study, the kitchen and has a wide-open veranda running its’ full length, at one end of which sits the family dining table. The second building is a two-story villa containing the remaining 3 en-suite bedrooms. The master suite is upstairs and has access to a private sun deck that overlooks the gardens and out to sea. The remaining ensuite bedrooms – a double and a twin bedroom – are on the ground floor and have French windows that lead to the garden.
THE BEDROOMS

The second building is a two-story villa containing the remaining three en-suite bedrooms. The spacious master suite is upstairs and has access to a private sun deck, shaded by cinnamon branches, which overlooks the Japanese Frangipani orchard, and out to sea. The remaining en suite bedrooms – a double and a twin bedroom – are on the ground floor and have French windows that lead out to the same peaceful tree lined garden.
The bedrooms, unfussy in design but all have air-con and overhead fans, come with good hanging space. The bathrooms, each unique, are carefully considered with walk-in showers and keypad safes. The owner clearly has a keen eye for a beautiful door which is consistent throughout the property and indeed the whole interior of the villa is styled with an eclectic mix of carefully selected antique furniture.

THE BEACH & LOCATION
The Villa is no doubt is the surfer’s paradise. You just wake up, grab your surfboard and the popular Hiriketiya surfing beach is there waiting for you to come.

CLOSEST SURFING BEACH: Hiriketiya Beach, 2 minutes walk.
CLOSEST SEASONALLY SAFE SWIMMABLE BEACH: the beach in front of the Villa.
The spacious plot slopes down towards the sea allowing an incredible view and spectacular sunsets. Many an afternoon can be spent, pool-side or on the veranda, admiring the tropical turquoise sea, twinkling in the background. The gardens are large enough to be able to find a peaceful retreat whilst a competitive game of badminton is being played and there is a portable massage bed, so you can choose the perfect spot for a pamper session.
The stunning horse shoe bay is a very respectable 2-minute walk! On your way out please don’t forget to shut the magnificent door, to secure the sanctuary of the villa 21.
This villa is a fantastic location for surfers as it fronts one of the best breaks along this stretch of the coast, with other surf breaks of varying difficulty nearby. The bay itself has emerged as a popular destination with beach bars and a restaurant or two.
