The pool deck is furnished with comfortable sun loungers and an outdoor sofa where you can relax with a book or just enjoy the view. Palm trees, fringed with spider lilies, provide shady spaces. The lounge group is a fabulous spot for morning tea and coffee and to gather together for sundown.

SURFING: The Houses are situated in one of Sri Lanka’s best surfing areas. It’s a favorite location for many of the local surf schools, which can provide lessons and equipment at your request. Easy access to Talalla beach or Hiriketiya beach.

Housekeeping

The staff will make beds, clean bedrooms and bathrooms and provide a turn-down service in the evening. The living areas, garden and pool are also cleaned and tidied daily. There is a laundry room and drying area. The staff can do washing and ironing for you free of charge.

THE BEACH & LOCATION

Directly accessible through the garden gate, our villa offers direct access to a pristine sandy beach, perfect for leisurely strolls, beach games, kite flying, and sandcastle building. Hiriketiya Beach, a mere 15-minute drive away, is a hub for local surf schools offering lessons and equipment rental. Alternatively, Talalla Beach, just 7 minutes by car, provides a surfing-friendly environment suitable for beginners and intermediates alike. During the season, enjoy safe swimming conditions with gentle waves, while off-season offers exhilarating opportunities for bodyboarding. An outdoor shower near the gate ensures a convenient way to rinse off sand and salt after your beach adventures

Security deposit: Upon arrival at the villa you may be required to pay a security deposit. The security deposit, if applicable, will be returned to you prior to departure or as agreed less any extra charges or costs for accidental damage to the property.
Check-in/out

Usual Check-in after 2.00 pm and Check out – Before 11.00 am
Late check-outs up to 6.00 pm may incur a half-day charge, after 6.00 pm a full day may be charged.
Every effort will be made to accommodate other check-in/out times but this will depend on availability.

“A beautiful property, in traditional Sri Lankan architecture with large, airy verandahs and a stunning elevated view over a fairly secluded beach. The owners have thought of everything; mosquito lotion, kids’ toys, plastic wine glasses for the pool. The layered gardens are spectacular and good fun for the kids, including when the timed sprinklers come on. The villa has a great coffee machine, so you should take some beans if you like coffee.

Jerome, the manager, runs a tight ship together with his lovely wife who helped us with laundry. Jerome arranged all our food and did the shopping, with great accounts. All very cost-effective. He is on top of everything and is exceptional at his job.

The person we interacted with most was Isuru, who would clean the pool in the morning, clean our rooms, serve our food and make a great coffee. He is really wonderful and the kids loved him, Chamila the chef was excellent; a very nice, well-spoken young man with great suggestions for each meal which he then executed to a high standard. The gardener and new member of staff who has a name, but I did not catch it, were also fantastic.

The beach is lovely, with soft sand and clear water just past where the waves break. It is only a bit sad that there is a little bit of washed-up junk for the length of the beach, as is becoming more common around Sri Lanka. We tried to clean this up whenever we could but no one else on the beach, from other properties, seemed very interested.

The villa is so lovely and is very kid-friendly – cot and extra beds available. Perhaps bring wine, coffee, and not many clothes as you can do laundry there. An amazing place, with brilliant staff, Very, very, highly recommended.”
