This charming two-bedroom beach villa overlooks the turquoise seas of Habaraduwa. For 02 Small families holidaying you can rent the neighbouring Villa 8 if party needs more privacy. They are managed separately, so the service levels are not the same. Usually the Price of Villa 8 is slightly cheaper than Villa 9.

What to expect in this 02 bedroom beach villa rental near Talpe, Galle?

This newly constructed and very well-equipped property offers flexible, stylish and relaxed holiday accommodation. Among the Best Beach villas in the Habaraduwa/Talpe area, villa 09 is decorated in a modern Mediterranean feel, with crisp white walls and bright turquoise accents creating a peaceful and friendly atmosphere. The Property stands out for its taste by an English owner ( Charlie) who also Owns Villa 17,  Villa 9 however comprises a huge living/dining room with an open plan kitchen and large chill-out sofas. There is also a shower, loo and changing room, and separate drying room, with washing machine and linen cupboards. Immediately outside the living room, there is a veranda leading out to a swimming pool, beyond which there is a lawned garden with restful ambalama, swaying, statuesque palm trees and the Ocean.

CLOSEST SURFING BEACH: Unawatuna Beach, 10 mins tuk tuk ride approx.
CLOSEST SEASONALLY SAFE SWIMMABLE BEACH: The beach in front is safe during the season.

The historic town of Galle is only about 15 minutes away from Villa 9, with many activities and sites to entertain guests, as is Unawatuna. Neighbouring the villa are a few beach bars and cafes, as well as a turtle hatchery which guests can visit and in the right season see one of nature’s oldest creatures.

The travel time from Colombo’s international airport will take about 2.5 hours if you take the Southern Highway. Another option is taking the Air Taxi and fly into Koggala which is just 10 minutes away.

ACTIVITIES NEARBY

• Historic Galle Fort one of the best-preserved Dutch forts in Asia a UNESCO World Heritage site is 10 kms away and is studded with architectural magnificence, and a host of well-stocked jewellery and souvenir shops, as well as the famous Aman Galle or New Oriental Hotel as it was formerly. In Galle itself the renowned test cricket ground, and along the coast a number of beach front hotels and restaurants.
• In Unawatuna there is a wonderful crescent shaped beach studded with cafes, bars and shops, and the PADI certified dive centre. Surfing can be found all along the coast especially at Hikkaduwa, Mirissa (also whale watching in season) and Weligama, the location of the celebrated Taprobane Island.
• Immediately next to the villa there is a turtle hatchery, and walking in one direction you will reach Aqua and other beach bars, in the opposite direction you will find the 5 star Fortress Hotel.

THE BEDROOMS

Upstairs there are two large bedrooms with en-suite shower rooms. These are air-conditioned, or you might simply enjoy the sea breezes. Outside the bedrooms there is a wide veranda for sun-bathing, leisurely breakfasts or simply nursing a drink and a book and staring out at the Indian Ocean where the next land fall is Antarctica.

THE FOOD

The Chef has been praised for ability to prepare eastern/asian cuisine. He is trained in Bangkok and can do Thai and Sri Lankan food. Also able to make good cottage pies, onion tart, fish pie etc.

Guests can discuss their menu preferences directly with the chef/cook and pay for the ingredients (Groceries at cost) and transport for shopping. Read more about the Villa meals policy in Sri Lanka. The Villa comes with a a house cook/chef who is capable of western and local dishes. Payment is on an ingredients-only basis +transport. Children’s menus can be discussed, as well as special requests and dietary requirements. 

Note: If you give the manager/Chef a float at the beginning of your stay, The Chef will shop and present receipts at check out with a balance or request a top-up during the stay if necessary.

Security deposit: Upon arrival at the villa you may be required to pay a security deposit. The security deposit, if applicable, will be returned to you prior to departure or as agreed less any extra charges or costs for accidental damage to the property.

Check-in/out

• Usual Check-in after 2.30 pm and Check out – Before 10.30 am
• Late check-outs up to 6.00 pm may incur a half-day charge, after 6.00 pm a full day may be charged.
• Every effort will be made to accommodate other check-in/out times but this will depend on availability.
